Premier League top scorer odds
Nicolas Anelka was the unlikely winner of the Premiership top scorer award with 19 goals last season, but the Frenchman scored just 3 goals in first 8 rounds and he is unlikely to repeat the feat this term. However, his teammate Didier Drogba is one of the favourites after bagging 6 goals so far (Drogba goals), but he face a stiff competition from Fernando Torres and Wayne Rooney (Rooney goals), who scored 8 and 6 goals respectively.
The aforementioned trio will probably give us the top scorer this season, although if Darren Bent and Jermain Defoe continue the form from the start of the league campaign, then anything is possible. The top scorer race looks likely to be more interesting than the Premiership title race this season. Fernando Torres looks like the early favourite as he seems to be the only player capable of scoring for his side, whereas teams like Chelsea and Manchester United have more than few players capable of registering goals on regular basis.
